"It had been raining all day and it's been years since I've seen a concert at Riverbend. The lawn area has been covered with artificial turf, so I was not wanting to stand in the mud and was so excited to see that! No more mudslides :-)
Although the view from the lawn was less than stellar, the jumbotron TV's were a big help. They have monitors at each food/drink stand with the concert, so you're not missing out while waiting in line. The facilities are clean and well cared for, ample bathrooms to accommodate the crowd. Madeon is a born showman, and although the crowd on the lawn was more pleasant than most concerts I've attended, I am getting older!
Had never seen him in concert, so didn't want to spend a lot on seats. Next time, I will spring for the sandbar. Watching the younger crowd singing along to every word of every song was a lot of fun. Overall, I would have given the event five stars for facilities and performance. The only thing bringing my review down is the cost of food and beverages.
I do realize they've got to make money somehow, $8.25 for a 20 oz. draft is simply ridiculous. As with any event, way overpriced!"
